Tackling the telco net zero challenge

On Monday, September 18th, SCTE Benelux Network will host its IBC Lecture at RAI Amsterdam. The overall topic of this seminar is "Tackling the telco net zero challenge." The event will have a welcome from 12:00 onwards, the program will start at 13:00. Registration can be done via www.scte-benelux.eu. The preliminary program is as follows:

  • 12:00 – 13:00: Welcome with coffee and tea
  • 13:00 – 13:05: Words of welcome by our Chairman
  • 13:00 – 13:20: Ralf Hemecker, Global Sales Director CE+T
  • 13:20 – 13:40: Daan Bonenkamp, CTO Hirschmann Multimedia
  • 13:40 – 14:00: Roelof Potters, Innovation accelator Alliander

The (preliminary) synopsis: Three highly technical presentations will be given about the challenges we face as telecom providers (and telco consumers). The main subjects are reducing energy usage and contributing to the energy transition. As an industry, we have to contribute to each of the actionable fields of the Avoid, Reduce, Substitute (and offset) Triangle. The general assumption is that investments are expensive and do not pay off financially; however, the opposite could be the case.
